Pleasantly surprised July 4, 2008 AK (Athens, Greece) Despite some negative reviews I decided to purchase it because of the price. I did not have any high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised when I used it. It works like a charm. I plugged in my wii and xbox360 turned them on at the same time, wii running brawl at 480p, xbox360 running oblivion at 720p, there were no artifacts on my TV (sony bravia 37 inch), colors are still the same bright and clear.
I don't know why people had problems with it, but my experience was very positive.
Bad product May 7, 2008 Tapio Merilae (Kouvola, Finland) I bought this device because I have only one component port on my LCD tv and my xbox360 is the older model without the HDMI port.
Ok, so I got the cable and immediately tried it with Wii and 360. The picture quality was really bad:
1) Wii had glitches and strange waves in the picture 2) With 360 there were ghosting in the picture.
My advice is not to buy this one. It's cheap and it sure feels like it. I'm still searching a good multi-component device.
Did the job for my Wii and Xbox 360 April 9, 2008 Michael Woodward (Essex, UK) Despite mixed views on this item I decided to purchase it and for the sake of a tenner it wasn't worth worrying about.
Having a Premium 360 I couldn't make use of the 2 HDMI sockets on the back of my TV (40" Sony Bravia LCD) and I also wanted to take advantage of the slightly better resolution available on the Wii so this seemed the perfect answer.
As soon as I received the item I tested both the Wii and 360 and found no problems with the picture quality. Almost a month on and it is still fine.
If you're after a cheap solution like I was this is the ideal product to buy and would recommend it in an instant if you're in the same boat as I was.
Excellent! March 28, 2008 Hayley Draycott We ordered this for our Wii and Xbox 360 for component use. I was a little worried about the negative reviews, but with both hooked up and even on at the same time it worked perfect, the sound, picture, colour, everything. Very easy to set up and at an incredible price compared to the alternatives.
Our TV is a Bush 37" HD-ready LCD.
Excellent! March 15, 2008 Mr. A. S. Payne (England) No difference in signal, easy to set up and practical! Now I can have my Wii and my Xbox 360 both set up via Component!
