Effective Rat killer September 6, 2010
The wanderer
I bought this as my wife was visiting her mother in the Philippines and we have had some rat activity in our (normally empty)house there. She caught two Rats fairly quickly and it killed them outright. Unit seems very effective although battery life was shorter than quoted as after these two Rats there was not sufficient power to catch more without changing the batteries. We intend to buy a charger/rechargeable batteries for the next visit and if we have rats again expect no further problem.

Well since reading all the reviews here I decided to purchase this as a way to get rid of our problem mini rats and big rats. Very strange though as we caught a medium sized one on a glue trap just before this trap arrived and got rid of it and since then we haven't seen a single rat or mouse or heard them in the walls? This is very strange as we usually see at least 3 a day and can always hear scurrying in the ceiling and walls. So I rated this 3 stars because I am hoping this contraption works - battery compartment wasn't so difficult bit of pressure needed. Well anyway to round off, we're still waiting! If I do catch anything will be sure to write again!

Despatched the rat on the second day. Tahini as bait worked a treat. Very easy to set up. Good product
